FAIRLESS HILLS, Pa. - David B. Douglas, 66, of Fairless Hills, died Wednesday, March 12, 2014 in hospice at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne Pa. Born in Cape Charles, Va., he attended the public school system of Trenton, N.J.
He is survived by his mother Helen Bell, sister, Alma Atkins, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert Atkins (Joann) and James Douglas (Susan). He is the son of the late Rufus Brown and brother of the late Rufus Atkins and Lillie Austin. David is also survived by his seven children and one daughter-in-law Monica West of Hyattsville, Md., David Douglas of Trenton, N.J. Rev. Tina Douglas of Penndel, Bryant Dowtin of Trenton, N.J. Denise Douglas of Lawrenceville, N.J. Sonja Green of Morrisville, Terrence Kelsey of Trenton, N.J. He is the grandfather of 18 grandchildren, Akeem and Rashad Ross, Michael Parker, Shirley Brown, Shaneatha and Donque Douglas, Judirah Blake, Augustus Powell Jr., Takia Green Carmichael, Tyreeq Green, Terrance Lasiter, Lisa Roberts, Bryant Woolford, Lakhiera, Terrence Jr., Kiara Kelsey, Quashawn Armstrong and the late Ebony Howell. He is the great-grandfather of eight.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 24, at 11 a.m. at Samaritan Baptist Church, 531 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Trenton, N.J. Visitation will be held on Monday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the church. Arrangements entrusted to Ledford Funeral Home, 929 S. Clinton Ave., Trenton, N.J.
