Edward A. "Whitey" Fornal Obituary
Edward "Whitey" A. Fornal HAMILTON - Edward "Whitey" A. Fornal, 93, of Hamilton passed away Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Hamilton Grove Healthcare and Rehabilitation, Hamilton, NJ. Born in Trenton he was a lifelong area resident. Mr. Fornal was an honorably discharged U.S. Army veteran who served during World War II and attained the rank of Private First Class. He was a cab driver and later owned his own company, Hamilton Cab Company. A talented musician, Mr. Fornal enjoyed playing the drums most of his life and played with the Dick Chimes Orchestra. He was a former member of St. Hedwig's R.C. Church and the Trenton Polish American Democratic Club. He was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans, the American Federation of Musicians-Local 64 in Trenton and the American Legion NJ Post 0458. Predeceased by his parents, Michael and Mary (Honorska) Fornal; his brothers, Theodore and Walter Fornal; and his sister, Stella Fornal; he is survived by his sister, Josephine Lawrence; his brother, Leon Fornal; his nieces, Donna M. Lawrence, Claudia Silverman and her husband, Steven and Karen Feldenzer; and several other nieces and nephews. Cremation services were private. There were no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Fornal's memory to Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
