TRENTON - Edward S. Weslowski, age 85, a longtime resident of Trenton, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 25, 2013 at Buckingham Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Buckingham, Pa. |
Born in Sussex County, he was a lifelong Trenton resident. Prior to his retirement, Edward was employed by the State of New Jersey in a variety of positions for many years. Among his many interests, he loved fishing, gambling, gardening and cooking.
Son of the late Leo and Hedwig (Staskiewski) Weslowski, and loving husband of the late Doris M. (Mastrodomenico) Weslowski, Edward leaves behind two daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Anthony Viteritto of Chesterfield and Debra and Steven Dibble of Newtown, Pa.; three brothers, Walt (and wife Marie) Wesolowski of Virginia Beach, Va., Leon "Skip" (and Shirley Hull) Wesolowski of Portville, and Matthew Weslowski of Ogdensburg; a sister, Leona Gerstmann of Sussex; four grandchildren, Anthony (and Rhonda) Viteritto, Christopher (and Andrea Grouser) Viteritto, Jason (and Jamie O'Neill) Dibble, and Christina (and Nicholas) Bruce; 11 great-grandchildren, Olivia, Anthony, Sophia Carmella, Raena, Gracie and Mateo Viteritto, Isabel and Lily Dibble, and Joseph and Angelina Bruce; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Edward's life on Saturday, November 30, at 11 a.m. at the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, Pa. (www.hooperfuneralchapel.com). The Rev. John Eckert, Pastor of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, will officiate. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Mr. Weslowski's name be made to Buckingham Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, 820 Durham Road, Buckingham, PA 18912.
