Obituary Condolences

NEWTOWN, Pa. - Edwin D. Bielski, of Newtown, passed away on Mar. 5, 2013.
He was a 1962 graduate of Bloomsburg University and completed his graduate degree at Trenton State College. Ed went on to teach at Bensalem High School for 33 years, and also coached the football team. One of Ed's passions was wrestling and he was a long time PIAA wrestling referee. In recent years, Ed was a lead volunteer cook at the Bucks County Emergency Homeless Shelter in Levittown where he purchased and prepared many of the meals himself.
Ed is survived by his wife, Frances (nee Finn), and his sons, Jeff (Kathy) and Ed, Jr. (Elisabeth). He was the brother of Marie, Audrey, Angie, Frank and the late Christine and Joseph. He was also Grampa Piggy to Taylor, Shannon and Erin.
Family and friends are invited to Ed's life celebration, from 10 a.m. to noon Friday (Mar. 8) at Swartz/Givnish of Newtown, 323 E. Washington Ave., Newtown, PA 18940, followed by his funeral service at noon. Interment will be private.
