Erminia M. DeLorenzo Stia Obituary
HAMILTON - Erminia M. DeLorenzo Stia passed away peacefully on Friday, March 7, 2014 at the young age of 86 in her husband's arms.
Born in Trenton, she had resided in Hamilton Township for the past 45 years. Mrs. Stia retired in 1982 after 15 years with the New Jersey Department of Taxation, Trenton.
Daughter of the late Pasquale and Maria DeFilippis DeLorenzo, sister of the late Alexander, Anthony, Pasquale, Vincent, John, Joseph DeLorenzo and Mary Commini, she is survived by her loving husband, Sebastiano "Sam" J. Stia Sr.; a son and daughter-in-law, Sebastiano "Sam" Jr. and Gwendolyn Stia; a daughter and son-in-law, Rose Marie and Addis Valentine, three grandchildren, Travis Valentine and his wife Beata, Tracey Valentine and Nicole Stia; a great-granddaughter, Olivia; her brothers, Americho L. and Elizabeth DeLorenzo and Raymond DeLorenzo; two sisters, Faye Yannuzzelli and Norma Santitore; three sisters-in-law, Marion, Helen and Lena DeLorenzo and Terry Stia; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends
The family would like to thank the staff of MTT, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital's ER, staff, chaplain, and ambulance squad, the Hamilton Police Department for their compassion and kindness shown to them during this time. Ermina now rests with her family in heaven.
The Funeral will be held at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, March 13, from the Brenna Funeral Home, 340 Hamilton Ave., Trenton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Raphael's Church, 3500 South Broad St., Hamilton. Entombment will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery Mausoleum, Hamilton. Calling hours for family and friends will be on Wednesday, March 12 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Brenna Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be in her name to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
