HAMILTON - Flor M. Rivera, 44, of Hamilton, has been accepted into God's loving embrace on Friday, May 31, 2013, at St. Francis Hospital with her loving family by her side.
Born on Jan. 7, 1969, Flor had been a lifelong New Jersey resident. Flor enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and writing in her journal but most of all, she enjoyed her grandchildren.
Mrs. Flor M. Rivera was predeceased by her brother, George Serrano. Left to cherish her wonderful memory are her loving husband, Arcadio "Archie" Rivera, her parents, William Gonzalez and Rosa Maria Rodriguez and stepfather, Marcos Santiago; her caring brothers, Joaquin Serrano (Bernice) and Pablo A. Kathcart; five beautiful children, Jose Perez (Ciara), Arcadio "Pito" Rivera III, Nina Benitez (Juan Carrion), Christina Serrano and Alina Rivera; seven adorable grandchildren, Michael, Julissa, Ciara, Marissa, Juan Jr., Luis Giraldo and Emilio DeJesus; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Arcadio Rivera Sr. and Carmen Rivera; and brother-in-law Jimmy Rivera and sister-in-law Miriam Rivera; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives from around the United States and Puerto Rico who will miss her deeply.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 8, at 10 a.m. at The Chiacchio Southview Funeral Home, 990 South Broad St. (Route 206), Trenton, NJ 08610. (Parking and handicapped access located directly behind the funeral home.) Visiting hours will be held on Saturday at the funeral home from 8 to 10 a.m. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, 1200 Cedar Lane, Hamilton, NJ 08610. Arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the care and coordination of David C. Chiacchio and staff.
