Frank M. Scarpati LAWRENCEVILLE - Frank M. Scarpati, 79, born February 5th, 1934 of Lawrenceville, NJ and West Palm Beach, FL, passed away suddenly on Monday, October 21, 2013. Born in Trenton, NJ, he attended Junior High School #4, Trenton High School and Hamilton High School. Frank served in the U.S. Air Force in 1952-53. Graduating from the newly formed Mercer County Community College with a degree in Engineering Science, he began working for the New Jersey Department of Transportation as an Engineering Aide. Progressing through various titles, he retired as a Project Engineer in September 1991. Frank was an avid golfer, tennis player, accomplished artist and musician. He was a member of the Italian American Sportsman Club and was a founding member of the Mercer County Italian American Festival Organization. He was a 32nd degree member of the Mt. Moriah Lodge #28 F&AM, and a member of the Crescent Temple of Trenton. Son of the late Carmine and Anna (Riccio) Scarpati, he is predeceased by his siblings Andrew, Michael, Anthony, Teresa, Jerry and Louie. Left to cherish his memory is Frank's beloved daughter Linda Lee Scarlett and his grandsons Dean and Maxwell Scarlett; his devoted brother John Scarpati Sr. and his wife Dorothy; his sister-in-law Tina Scarpati and many nieces, nephews and cousins whom he loved. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, November 9th promptly at 12:00 noon at The Nassau Inn in Princeton.
