EWING - Frederick John Gropp, Jr., 77, of Ewing, passed away Saturday at CareOne in Ewing.
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident. Mr. Gropp was a steelworker with US Steel – Fairless Works, Fairless Hills, Pa., for many years before his retirement.
An avid NY Giants and Mets fan, he enjoyed reading, gardening and horse racing. But his greatest joy came from spending time with his granddaughter.
Son of the late Frederick John Gropp and Isabel Gerhardt and brother of the late Lois DeLucia, he is survived by his wife, Constance Gropp; his son and daughter-in-law, Frederic John Gropp III and his wife Bozena of Ewing; two daughters and a son-in-law, Janet M. Trago and her husband John and Linda I. Bransfield all of Morrisville, Pa.; his granddaughter, Lauren Marie Bransfield; two nephews; and all his North Trenton Club, Barber Shop and golfing buddies.
Services were private and at the convenience of the family.
