Obituary Condolences

TRENTON ­- Grace C. Bethea, 75, of Trenton, departed this life on Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Francis.
Born and raised in Trenton, Grace was a graduate of Trenton Central High school where she was on the women's swimming and softball teams. She won many awards and trophies.
Grace started her career in sales at Nevius Voorhees department store and continued to work in that field until her retirement in 2000 from Valu-Plus of New Jersey, Inc. Grace was a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church.
Predeceased by her parents, Joshua and Margaret Baylor, and seven siblings, surviving are her former husband, Phillip Bethea of Seaford, Del.; their children, Sharon Legette, Phillip, Grace, James (Yolanda), Cozet Meekins (Donald), Marvin and Crystal all of Trenton; a special grandson, Derrick Bethea, whom she raised as her son; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; six brothers, Norman, David (Joanne), Paul, John (Rose) and Jerome Baylor; eight sisters, Dorothy Gaines, Joan Turner (William), Louella Canty, Betty Thorpe, Brenda Law, Sandra King, Vanessa Tucker (John) and Theresa Robinson (William); four brothers-in-law, and two sisters-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Friendship Baptist Church, 111 Perry St., Trenton. Interment will be in Ewing Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the church. Arrangements are by Campbell Funeral Chapel, Trenton.
