Herman Isadore Kimbrough, 62, of Ewing passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Capital Health, Hopewell Campus. Born in Birmingham, AL, He received his early education at US Jones High in Demopolis, AL. At the age of 15 he enlisted in the United States Army, serving his country proudly for 29 years, retiring honorably as a Master Sergeant. He was the director of The New Jersey Job Corp. with his distinct educational approach Job Corp initiative blossomed under his administration.
He obtained BS Degree from Trenton State College, his Master's Degree and Doctorates Certification from Seton Hall University. He was brother of the Alpha Phi Alpha Trenton Chapter Iota Lambda Fraternity.He served as Director of Vocational Education at Sypek Vocational School in Ewing Township and Assunpink Vocational School in Hamilton. He was also Director for the Lawrence Neighborhood Center, Lawrence Township, Hollowbrook Community Center, Ewing Township, and Executive Director for Concerned Citizens of Ewing, Ewing Township. He was a member and Trustee at St. John's Baptist Church and sang with the male chorus, Ewing Township, NJ.
Predeceased by his parents, Kissie & Saul Prince, his aunt who raised him, aunt Lola Kimbrough, he leaves to cherish precious memories his devoted wife of 57 years; Izetta; two beloved daughters; Etta DeNisa and Sandra Yvetta; all of Ewing.
Funeral Services will be Monday (Feb. 25) at noon at St. John's Baptist Church 70 Oregon Ave Ewing, NJ. Interment will be in Ewing Church Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday from 10 a.m. to noon at the church.
Arrangements are by Campbell Funeral Chapel, Trenton.
