Born in Rochester, N.Y., Chris had resided in the Hamilton area since 1984. He was a chef who earned his degree from the Johnson and Wales Culinary Arts School.
Chris enjoyed going to the beach and surfing as well as skiing.
Son of the late Joanne (Trakosis) Kolovos, he is survived by his father, Nikolaos Kolovos; his loving wife of eight years, Jennifer (Nicolaou) Kolovos; his two beloved children, Nikolaos and Anastasia Kolovos; his sister, Thekla and her husband Vinny Mazzella; his brother, Dimitrios "Jimmy" Kolovos; his two nephews, Massimo and Niko Mazzella; his niece, Yianna Mazzella; and many other family and friends, both here and in Greece.
Greek Orthodox funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday (Dec. 29) at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 1200 Klockner Road, Hamilton Township. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, 1800 Hamilton Ave., Hamilton Township. Family and friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday (Dec. 28) at the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Road, Hamilton, NJ 08619. Trisaghion services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
