James Stefane Obituary
James A. Stefane, 91, of Lawrenceville, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Compassionate Care Hospice at RWJUH at Hamilton.
Born in Montgomery, New York, Jim was a life - long area resident.
He was a veteran of the United State Army, serving in WW II.
Jim was a graduate of Rider University, where he studied finance and accounting. Over the course of his career, he was employed by U.S. Steel Corporation , Princeton University Plasma Physics Laboratory, and the State of New Jersey, Department of Human Services. After his retirement, Jim served as a Sergeant at Arms for the New Jersey General Assembly.
He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Angels Parish/ Immaculate Conception Church, where he was the first President of the Parish Council, and served as the finance chair of the annual carnival for 10 years.
Son of the late Anthony and Susan Cassilo Stefane, husband of the late Loretta Ann Seiler Stefane, twin brother of the late John Stefane, and brother of the late Mildred Richardone and Marie Maiello. He is survived by two daughters, Anne Stefane and husband John Lanzoni, Miriam McIntosh and husband Daniel; one sister, Doris Wood; one brother-in-law, Paul V. Seiler; one sister-in-law Clara Stefane; and many nieces and nephews.
Jim enjoyed playing the piano and woodworking.
Funeral will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2017, at 9:00 a.m., from the Brenna Funeral Home, Immordino Chapel, 1799 Klockner Road, Hamilton, NJ.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 12, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Angels Parish/ Immaculate Conception Church, 540 Chestnut Avenue, Trenton, NJ 08611.
Entombment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum, Cedar Lane, Hamilton, NJ.
Calling hours for family and friends will be held on Wednesday evening, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. , at the Brenna Funeral Home, Immordino Chapel, Hamilton.
