Jean L. "Auntie Momma" Slaughter-Jones, 63, of Ewing died Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Capital Health, Hopewell Campus.
Born in Trenton, Mrs. Jones was a lifelong area resident. She was a graduate of Trenton Central High School and Mercer County Community College.
She was employed as the Director of Job Skills for the Urban League and most recently as an Activities Aide at Care One at Ewing. She was a longtime member of Friendship Baptist Church and a former member of Kingdom Church.
Predeceased by her husband, Lorenzo C. Jones, her mother, Mary E. Slaughter-Brown, a brother, Felix Slaughter, a sister, Phyllis Daniels and a nephew, Omar Slaughter surviving are her father; Felix Slaughter; two sons; Martiesh Jones (Brenda); and Lorenzo C. Jones, Jr.; two daughters; Latray and Latrease Jones; nine grandchildren; Tyonna Feliciano; Kyonna; Kayron; Kaylin; Kyree; Kaleem; and Neomi Jones; Tammy Fenderson; Sabree Downing; three great-grandchildren; Germanee Bryson; Michael Ellis, Jr.; and Tajonna Fenderson; four brothers; Hakeem Ali Muhammad (Michele); Steven Slaughter (Della); Alphonso Slaughter (Lisa); and Theodore Brown (Cathy); two sisters; Rev. Brenda L. Mack (Rev. Dr. Burton); and Janice McEwen (Edward); two aunts; Beatrice Davis; and Margaret; one uncle; Herbert Givens; 14 nieces; six nephews; a spiritual daughter; Yvette Sykes; and Stephanie Schanck; a spiritual son; Naim Williams; spiritual grandsons; William Shaw; and Michael Ellis, Sr.
Funeral Services will be Monday (Oct. 29) at 1:30 p.m at Campbell Funeral Chapel 1225 Calhoun St. Trenton, NJ 08638
Interment will in Ewing Cemetery. Calling hour will be Monday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the chapel.
