HAMILTON - Jeanne Gulden, 81, of Hamilton Square, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2013, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton, surrounded by her loving family. |
Born in Newark, Mrs. Gulden was a lifelong area resident. She owned Busy Bee Travel in Hamilton. Jeanne was an active member of both the Nottingham Ladies Auxiliary and the Hamilton Rotary, where she received the recognition of the Paul Harris Award. She was a supporter of Animals in Distress, Inc. and often rescued cats in her neighborhood. Jeanne was an avid reader, loved visiting Disney World, and was a fanatic fan of both the New York Yankees and Giants. She took great care of the people in her life and her family meant everything to her.
Predeceased by her parents, Louis and Helen (Ballis) Kirchner, her brother, Louis Kirchner, Jr., and her granddaughter, Dianna Sanchez, she is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Joseph Gulden; her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Alfredo Sanchez of Hamilton Square; her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Cheryl Gulden of Hamilton Square; three sisters, Marie Brann of Bonita Springs, Fla., Margarite Hauseleiter and her husband Robert, of Roswell, Ga., and Phyllis Schellenbaum of Phoenix, Ariz.; her brother and sister-in-law, Skip and Helena Kirchner of Branchburg; two grandchildren, Denise Zsenak and her husband Kevin of East Windsor, and Alicia Sanchez and Sandy of Hamilton Square; four great-grandchildren, Gabrielle, Dylan, Rachel and Aidan Zsenak; her cat, Dale; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square. Cremation will be private. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Saul Colonial Home.
