TRENTON - JoAnn E. Barton, 66, of Trenton entered into eternal life, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, December 13, 2013. JoAnn was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who leaves a legacy of love and devotion. She dedicated her entire life to her family and friends. Her gentle, caring and kind ways touched the hearts of so many. JoAnn especially enjoyed family vacations at the beach and Las Vegas, Nevada.
Born in Trenton, she was a lifetime area resident. JoAnn was employed by Americare Medical, Hamilton, as well as St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton. She was also employed as a cosmetologist for a number of years. She was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows / St. Anthony Parish and served as a PTA President and Regional President for St. Anthony Elementary School.
Daughter of the late Joseph and Faye Sukotsky and mother of the late Lewis R. Barton II, JoAnn is survived by her beloved husband, Lewis R. Barton; her daughters and their spouses, Debra and Jamey Johnson of Buford, Ga., Kim and Michael Brescio of Hamilton, Heather and Matthew Brescio of Hamilton; her son, Lewis R. Barton III of Trenton; her mother-in-law, Dorothy Barton of Trenton; her brothers and their spouses, Martin and Angela Sukotsky of Buford, Ga. and Ron and Terry Sukotsky of Suwanee, Ga.; her sister and spouse, Susan and Dr. Ralph LaMachia of Suwanee, Ga.; her grandchildren, Dylan Barton, Brianna, Brenden, Alec Joseph, Hayley, Skylar, Chase Johnson and Matthew James Brescio II; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. from Kingston & Kemp Funeral Home, 260 White Horse Ave., Hamilton (www.KingstonandKemp.com). Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony's Church, 626 S. Olden Ave., Hamilton. Entombment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, 400 Woolsey St., Hamilton. Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
