Obituary Condolences

HAMILTON - John J. Rose, 81, of Hamilton Township, died May 29, 2012, at Capital Health Regional Medical Center, Hopewell, the same date his mother went to heaven several years ago.
Born in Morrisville, Pa. on Feb. 20, 1931, John graduated from the Morrisville High School and was elevated to various positions during his career with the Mercer County Road Department. A veteran of the Korean War, he was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy where he served aboard the Navy tanker, USS Chukawan. John was an active, dedicated member of the Bordentown, N.J. Elks B.P.O.E., he also marched several years in the annual Elks Convention Parades. He was also an avid member of the Hamilton Lanes Bowling Team, sharing "Lucky Strikes" with fellow bowlers.
Son of the late Peter and Ella (DiFeo) Rose, brother of the late Frank Rose and Elizabeth "Betty" Rose, brother-in-law of the late Joseph Chorlton, John is survived by his sister, Theresa (Rose) Chorlton, several cousins and numerous close friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at St. Raphael's Church, 3500 South Broad St., Hamilton Township. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Mausoleum, Sacred Heart Patio, 1200 Cedar Lane, Hamilton, Township. Friends and family may call on Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Road, Hamilton, NJ 08619.
