John M. De Lisa, 93, of Trenton, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2013 at Capital Health Medical Center – Hopewell.
Born in Trenton, John was raised in North Trenton, and has been a life long Trenton resident. John was employed by Taylor Provisions (Taylor Pork Roll) in Trenton, where he retired after more than 30 years of service. He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows – St. Anthony's Parish, he enjoyed trips to Atlantic City , big band music, sinatra, Sunday pasta dinners, and spending time with his grandchildren and attending their sporting events.
Son of the late Anthony and Amelia Sarechilli De Lisa, husband of the late Dolores H. De Lisa, and brother of the late Bessie Cannon, Ida Azzaro, Thomas De Lisa, and Anna Brogel, he is survived by one daughter and son-in-law; Doreen and John Russo; of Hamilton; three sons and three daughters-in-law; John and Theresa De Lisa; of Pennington; Anthony and Cherese De Lisa; of Hamilton; Dean and Kelly De Lisa; of Hamilton; nine grandchildren; Erica Witzel and husband Daniel; Ryan; Paige; Gabriel; Justin; Tori; Carly; Danielle; and Gabriella De Lisa; one great-grandson; Luca Witzel; one brother; Anthony De Lisa; of Santa Ana, CA., one sister-in-law; Carol Belza; of Hamilton, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday (July 19) 11 a.m. at St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, S. Olden Ave. in Hamilton. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Cedar Lane in Hamilton.
Calling hours will be Friday morning from 8-10:30 a.m. at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home 1863 Hamilton Ave. in Hamilton. Visit
