Joseph Nathanael Jean "Papi Jean" Cassion

EWING - We announce with deepest sorrow that Joseph Nathanael Jean Cassion "Papi Jean," 71, died on Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010, at the University Hospital in Pennsylvania surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Torbeck, Haiti, Papi Jean lived in Hightstown for 14 years before moving to Ewing Township where he resided the last 10 years. Joseph was a district attorney, police commissioner, and the founder of the School Lebon Samaritain in Haiti.
Son of the late Joseph Philocles Cassion and Jeanne Brigitte Lorenza, husband of the late Yvonne Cassion, to whom he was married for 40 years and past on Feb. 12, 2010, he is survived by four sons, Jordan, Nathanael Jr., Reginald, and Claude; four daughters, Nathalie, Patricia Jones, Margaret and Lorence Phoebee; granddaughter, Kylee; four grandsons, Shanedore, Terry, Ted, Terence; brother and sisters, Alfred Cassion and family, Michel Cassion and family, Victor Cassion and family, Jacqueline Cassion and family, Anachoret St. Martin and family, Jacques Cassion and family.
Condolences also to the family of Mrs. Camille Maignan, Arlette Jocelyn, Mrs. Jean Mathurin, Jeanine Jocelyn, and other family and cherished friends afflicted by this mourning.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Church of Incarnation in Ewing Township. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hamilton Township.
Calling hours will be Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. at the Hartmann Memorial Home, 2830 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Township.
