BORDENTOWN - Joseph W. Berkeyheiser Jr., 80, passed away Friday, June 7, 2013, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
Born and raised in Trenton, he had been a resident of Bordentown for the last 40 years. Joseph had worked for Hill Refrigeration in Trenton and was a life member of the Bordentown
No. 2085. He enjoyed the boardwalk at Seaside, playing video poker, and was a regular at Angie's Family Restaurant in Bordentown.
Son of the late Joseph and Clara Berkeyheiser, brother of the late Marie Archer and husband of the late Marie Danbury Berkeyheiser, he is survived by his beloved children, Joseph III of Bordentown, Walter of Denton, N.C. and Mary Markell and her husband William L. Jr. of Bordentown; three grandchildren, Alicia, Amanda and Billy; his sister, Elizabeth Maisto of Philadelphia; lifelong friend, John Rodgers; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 12, at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St., Bordentown. Interment will follow in Bordentown Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
