Josephine Cade Obituary
Josephine "Sherri" K. Cade, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Capital Health Medical Center at Hopewell, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Hopewell, Mrs. Cade was a lifelong Hamilton area resident and graduate of Hightstown High School. She attended Rider College and went on to work as a real estate associate for over twenty years and later on as an administrator with Cade Motor Company.
She was a former member of the Boca Raton Country Club in Florida and a lifelong member of the Trenton Country Club. Mrs. Cade was an active parishioner of Our Lady of Sorrows – St. Anthony Parish, where she was a member of the Rosary Altar Society. She enjoyed dancing, golf and bowling. Mrs. Cade was a longtime contributor and helper of animals.
Predeceased by her parents, James J. and Mattie (Hiland) Kay and her husband of 63 years, John S. Cade Sr.; she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Madeline and Edward Davis, Jr. of Hamilton Square; her son and daughter-in-law, John S. Cade, Jr. and Michele of Hamilton Square; her grandson, Bradford John Davis and wife, Amy, of Washington, D.C.; and her granddaughters, Amanda E. Cade and fiancé, Frank Ricketti, and Madeline (Maddie) N. Cade both of Hamilton Square.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton NJ 08690. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows-St. Anthony Parish, Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 3816 East State St. Ext., Hamilton NJ.
Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery in Allentown, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mrs. Cade's memory to the Animal Placement Agency of the Windsors or the Hamilton Animal Shelter by visiting In Memory Of at www.inmemoryof-memorial.org.
