Obituary Condolences

NORWOOD, Mass. - Lonnie Paul Marshall, Jr., 57, died on Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, in the Veterans Administration Medical Center, West Roxbury, Mass.
Born in Trenton, he was educated in Trenton public schools, George School in Newtown, Pa. and Lincoln University. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1974 and was honorably discharged in 1977. Lonnie was previously employed as a Trenton City Housing inspector and a Community Relations Specialist. He was also a Police Aide with the Trenton Police Department. He worked as a security officer for Secure America in Boston, Mass., until his death.
He was a member of Beauty Grove Primitive Baptist Church before moving to Lawrenceville, Ga. where he joined Freedom Christian Ministry. He was a member of VFW Post No. 5255 and the Gwinnett County Democratic Party of Lawrenceville, Ga.
He was predeceased by his father, Lonnie Paul, Sr., a nephew, Thomas Lionel "Uncle L" Marshall, godsister, Kim Clark and son-in-law, Elijah Owens. He is survived by his wife, Denise Marshall of Harrisburg, Pa.; one son, Lonnie P., III of Oceanside, Calif.; five daughters, TaNesha and Galeyn Marshall, both of Trenton, N.J., Shanys and Shaikyra Marshall, both of Harrisburg, Pa. and Carol H. Price (Fred) of Bensalem, Pa.; three stepdaughters, Koranda and Cartesia Fox and Chrishon Bowen (Billy), all of Harrisburg, Pa.; his mother, Emma Richardson of Trenton, N.J.; three sisters, Brenda Marshall-Adams (Clifton) of Philadelphia, Michelle Slaughter (Hakeem) of Ewing Township, N.J. and Helena Richardson of Trenton, N.J.; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Beauty Grove Primitive Baptist Church, 66 Race St. Elder Clemson Leach, pastor, officiating. Calling hours are from 9 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the church. Interment will be at Washington Crossing Veterans Cemetery, Newtown, Pa.
