Madeline Seifert Obituary
Madeline M. Seifert, 88, of Monroe Twp., passed away Thursday November 30th at her home in Parker at Monroe, surrounded by her daughter and her Care Partners from White Willows. Born in Trenton, she was a graduate of Trenton High School. She retired from the Sears, Roebuck and Company store in Trenton as the senior person in the Personnel Department, having worked previously in the Jewelry Department. A devout Catholic, Madeline was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church and member of the Rosary Society for many years, until moving to Lawrenceville in 2000 when she joined St. James Church in Pennington and became a member of one of their prayer groups.
Madeline was the daughter of the late Maximilian and Helen Engler Peters; wife of the late Joseph A. Seifert (1/23/13); mother of the late Jeffrey J. Seifert (6/13/2011); and sister of the late Robert M. Peters. She is survived by her daughter Maxine and her husband Thomas L. Small of Maplewood, NJ; her daughter-in-law, Patricia Ann Seifert of Pennington, NJ; her granddaughter April Ann and her husband Richard Proniewski of Howell, NJ; her grandson Joseph R. Seifert of Pennington, NJ; and her great-grandson, Jeffrey M. Proniewski.
The family would like to give special thanks to Maddy's Care Partners from White Willows and Silver Oaks at Parker at Monroe who truly became part of our extended family.
Madeline was a very happy person with a quick smile, easy laugh and great sense of humor. She had a truly good heart, always put others before herself and remains a true inspiration and role model for her daughter and granddaughter. She loved to bake and entertain family and friends; played the piano and enjoyed listening to music and dancing. She appreciated the beauty of flowers and was fond of animals.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday December 5th 10:00 a.m. at St. James RC Church, 115 E. Delaware Ave., Pennington. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton. The viewing will be held Monday December 4th 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday 9-9:30 a.m., at the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, 2560 Pennington Road, Pennington. Condolences are welcome at www.wilsonapple.com.
