Obituary Condolences

On Monday, September 23, 2013, our beloved Mamie K. Baggett sunset peacefully into the arms of the Lord.
Evangelist Mamie K. Baggett was born January 23, 1939, in Clopton, Ala. to the late Willie Lee and Elizabeth Scott. She was educated in the Ozark, Ala. school system. After which she attended Wilfred Academy Beauty School receiving her cosmetology license becoming a successful owner of her own business known as "Mamie's Hair Fashions." Evangelist Baggett was a member of Grace Community Church.
In addition to her parents, Evangelist Baggett was predeceased by her husband, George F. Baggett, and seven siblings, Sue Daniels, Betty Underwood, Almeda Dennis, Coulie Williams, Anna Laura Williams, Willie Lee Scott, and William Cooper.
She leaves to cherish her memories three daughters, Karla V. Christie, Viola Christie and Karen Christie; three stepsons, Carl Christie, Clarence Christie and Calvin Christie; five grandchildren, Ebony Porter, Robert Lane, Katie Christie, Kevin Harris, JayNay Ford, and her step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, Lyriq K. Jones and Kamau'la Lane; two brothers, Jamar Scott (Eunice) and Robert Earl Horn (Jacquie); one sister, Mary Dozier; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2013, at Grace Community Church, 700 W. State St. Trenton, N.J. Calling hours will be from 9 a.m. until time of service at the church. Interment Colonial Memorial Park, Hamilton, N.J. Arrangements are by the Hughes Funeral Home.
