Obituary Condolences

HOPEWELL – Mary E. McGrath Tilton, 85, of Hopewell Township, died peacefully on Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, at the Mercerville Care Center.
Born in the Forrest Valley section of Hamilton Township, Mrs. Tilton was a graduate of Hamilton High School West, class of 1944. She later married her now late husband of 63 years, Arthur K. Tilton, and resided in Hopewell Township. Mary was fondly known as "Aunt Betty." "Betty" worked and retired after 30 years service at the former Heinemann Electric Company plant on the Brunswick Pike. She loved to attend and support her children's sports events.
Daughter of the late John F. and Elizabeth A. Burns McGrath, Mary was also predeceased by her three brothers, John A. McGrath, Thomas P. McGrath and William F. McGrath. She is survived by her two loving children, her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas A. and Eileen Tilton of North Carolina; her daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen A. and David M. McGowan of Hamilton Square; her granddaughter, Renee K. Rosina of Trenton and her great-grandson, Edward Rivera Jr. of Trenton; her two sisters, Alice Schafer and Anna Harrison both of Forrest Valley; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday at the Winowicz Funeral Home, Adeline and Beatty streets, Trenton. Burial will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, North Hanover Township. Calling hours are from 9:45 to 11:45 a.m. (time of service) Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in "Betty's" memory are to be made to the , 400 Morris Ave., Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834.
