SUN CITY CENTER, Fla. - Mary M. "Babe" Loffredo Turo, 82, of Sun City Center, and formerly of Trenton, N.J., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at South Bay Hospital, Sun City Center. |
Born in Trenton, N.J., she resided in Trenton for 62 years, in Murphy, N.C. for seven years, and for the past 11 years in Sun City Center.
Mrs. Turo retired in 1993 after 20 years from the John Hancock Insurance Company, Lawrenceville, N.J., and was formerly employed by the Horsman Doll Factory, Trenton. She was a member of the Italian American Sportsmen Club Ladies Auxiliary and was the Queen Mother of the Red Hat Society.
Daughter of the late Frederico and Theresa Infantini DeAngelis, former wife of the late Gennaro Loffredo, sister of the late Anthony and Joseph DeAngelis and Anne Derrico, she is survived by her husband, Michael Turo; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Robin Loffredo and Jeffrey and Angela Loffredo; four grandchildren, Jeremy, Jake, Gabriella and Grace Loffredo; a special nephew, Joseph Derrico and many other special nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday June 17, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Angels Parish/Saint Joachim Church, 20-50 Butler St., Trenton, N.J. The family will receive guests on Monday, June 17, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Brenna Funeral Home, 340 Hamilton Ave., Trenton.
