Obituary Condolences

Robert O. Purdunn, 94, of Hamilton passed away Thursday May 9, 2013 at Arcadia Nursing Home, Hamilton.
Born in Trenton, he was an area resident all of his life. A WWII U.S. Army veteran, Bob was a retired postmaster with the U.S. Postal Service in Mantoloking, and was a devout member of United Presbyterian Church, Yardville and the former Pilgrim Presbyterian Church, Hamilton. He was a center fielder for Snyder's, Decker's Dairy and Vogler's baseball team in the 1930's and was a 1987 inductee into the Mercer County Bowlers Hall of Fame. Bob was an active member and past-president of the White Horse Lions Club.
Father of the late Lynn Burke and husband of the late Sarah C. Purdunn and Audrey Leah Purdunn, he is survived by his step-sons and their wives; Jack and Kim Hoff; of Bordentown and John and Linda Hoff; of Yardville, his grandchildren; Jessica and Jason Hoff; his nieces; Betty Lou Miccio and husband Robert and Nancy Giordano and husband Ralph and two great-nieces.
Funeral service will be Tuesday (May 14) at 10 a.m. at Kingston & Kemp Funeral Home, 260 White Horse Ave., Hamilton (www.KingstonandKemp.com). Rev. Jean Pinto, pastor of United Presbyterian Church, will officiate.
Interment will follow at Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. Relatives and friends may call on Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Due to cemetery regulations prohibiting flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Bob's honor to United Presbyterian Church, 12 Yardville – Hamilton Square Road, Yardville, NJ 08620.
