Rose Marie Garland HAMILTON - Rose Marie Garland, 79, of Hamilton, passed away Sunday at Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Francis after a courageous 24 year battle with cancer. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Rose Marie has lived in New Jersey for the past 46 years. She graduated from Williamsburg Vocational High School, class of 1952, where she was Valedictorian of her class. She was a long time member of St. Anthony's Church in Trenton. Rose Marie was a strong, compassionate and exceptionally loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and a caregiver to all of those in need, she will be greatly missed. Daughter of the late John T. "Yogi" and Philomena " Fanny" DeVincentis Carlo, wife of the late Thomas J. Garland, sister of the late Michael Carlo, Rose Marie is survived by 2 daughters and 2 sons-in-law; Patricia L. and Joseph Fatatis of Mt. Holly, and Linda P. and William Maughan of Columbus, NJ. 2 granddaughters; Amber Rose and Ashley Mary Maughan; 2 aunts, a sister-in-law, Patricia Carlo, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many close friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:00 AM in St. Anthony's Church, 626 S. Olden Ave., Trenton NJ. 08629. Calling hours will be in the church Saturday from 9:30 AM until time of Mass. Entombment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Funeral services are under the direction of the M.
