EWING - Rosella Riemann Straley, age 85, died peacefully on April 30, 2013, after suffering from complications caused by pneumonia. |
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Arthur R. Jones, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Harold W. Straley, Jr.; her daughters, Susan Kelley and Eileen Jones; her son-in-law, Raymond Kelley; her stepdaughters, Pamela Varone and Diana Corrington; her grandchildren, Kate MacMonagle, Kenneth Davis, Glenn Corrington, Pamela Khoury, and their spouses; her great-granddaughter, Greta Keim; her sisters, Gladys Feltham, Ann Kellett, Carol Kellett; her brother, Earl Kellett; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends.
Born in Trenton she was a graduate of Trenton High School, and a longtime resident of Ewing. Rosella held a position in the personnel department for the New Jersey Department of Transportation, from which she retired almost 20 years ago.
Presently a member of Abiding Presence Lutheran Church, she was a former member of the Advent Lutheran Church where she actively participated in the church choir, the bell choir, and the women's guild.
She will be missed by many.
Visitation will be held at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 935 Parkway Ave., Ewing, on Thursday, May 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. A church service will be held at Abiding Presence Lutheran Church, 2220 Pennington Road, Ewing, on Friday, May 3, at 11 a.m., followed by a burial at Riverview Cemetery in Trenton.
