HAMILTON - Ruth Kaliszewski, 98, of Hamilton, passed away Sunday at the Mercerville Center.
Mrs. Kaliszewski was born in Trenton and had been a resident of Hamilton since June 1, 1950. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Yardville, formerly of Pilgrim Presbyterian Church she was a former elder of the church and a member of the Jessie Circle. In 1973 she received a life membership award from the United Women of Pigrim. She also participated and cooked and served for everyone that would come to the church Roast beef and special dinners. She was a charter member of Holy Angels Togetherness Club and the Rusling Sunshine Club. She did volunteer work at Hamilton Hospital, Trenton Area Soup Kitchen and Trenton Psychiatric Hospital.
Daughter of the late, Anton and Lillie Schlegel, wife of the late Frank Kaliszewski, sister of the late William B. Schlegel and Leah Robbins. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Ronald (Casey) and Adrienne Kaliszewski of Hamilton; granddaughter, Jennifer Carnelli and husband Chris and great-grandson Joshua Sommers all of Robbinsville; sister-in-law, Janet Schlegel and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the United Presbyterian Church, 12 Yardville Hamilton Square Road. Yardville. The Rev. Jean Pinto will officiate. Relatives and friends may call 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the church. Arrangements are by Knott's Colonial Funeral Home, Hamilton.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in her name may be made to the United Presbyterian Church, 12 Yardville Hamilton Square Road, Yardville, NJ 08620.
