EWING - Sharon L. Wallace, the first of twin girls born to Andrew and Gertrude Wallace on Oct. 4, 1959, passed away on Oct. 31, 2012. |
Sharon was a fun-loving and popular girl who always had a smile on her face. She was such a lady!.
Sharon was educated in the Ewing Township school system. She attended Antheil Elementary, Fisher Middle School and Ewing High School where she graduated with the class of 1977. Sharon continued her formal education at Mercer County Community College, William Paterson University, and The College of New Jersey where she received her Bachelor of Science degree. She went on to continue her education at New Jersey Institute of Technology where she received her most prized educational achievement, a Master of Science degree in Engineering.
Sharon was currently employed by the Department of Environmental Protection as a Principal Engineer. As a career State of New Jersey worker she also had worked at the Department of Transportation and the Division of Health in Vital Statistics.
Sharon loved the lord and often said "Don't worry, God will take care of it."
Sharon was preceded in death by her fiance Rudolph B. Boyd, her mother, Gertrude J. Wallace, a brother, Gregory A. "Tang" (Carmen) Wallace, maternal grandparents, Adam and Mary Jackson, paternal grandmother, Jennie C. Wallace, uncles and aunts, Elihu (Doris), Theodore Jackson, and she just lost her sister-in-law on Monday, Joyce I. Wallace. Sharon leaves to cherish her memory her twin sister, Karole A. (Maurice) Williams, her daughter, Regina A. Wallace, her father, Andrew A. (Rachel) Wallace, nephews, Duane D. Wallace, John Andrew Williams, Gregory Wallace and Jason Wilder, nieces, Courtney L. Williams and Nicole M. Williams, Ashley Wallace, great-niece, Niyah-shea Wallace and great-nephew, Terrance M. Traylor Jr.; as well as a special great-niece, MaChaya D. Williams-Traylor; and a host of cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at Shiloh Baptist Church, 340 Rev. S. Howard Woodson Way, Trenton. Calling hours are from 8 am. to time of services at the church. Interment will be in Ewing Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Hughes Funeral Home, Trenton.
