HAMILTON - Stanley Benck, 83, of Hamilton Township, passed away on Friday at home surrounded by his loving family.|
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong Trenton and Hamilton Township area resident. An Army veteran of the Korean War, Stanley served his country proudly. He is a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 313, and has been the Active Chaplin for the past nine years. He was also a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Yardville.
Stanley worked at Bamburger's and K-mart as an appliance salesman. He then worked for and retired from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton in patient transport. He was a very good spirited person with a nice sense of humor and was respected by all who knew and loved him. He will be greatly missed.
Son of the late William H. and Caroline Hopkins Benck, brother of the late John W., Leroy, and Robert Benck, he is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Virginia; his three children, one son, Charles Benck of Hamilton Township, two daughters and their spouses, Karoline and Michael Daly of Harleysville, Pa., and Krystina and Christopher Jaurigue of Sherman Oaks, Calif.; four grandchildren, Brennan, Liam and Charlotte Daly, and Reef Jaurigue.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at 11 a.m. from the Buklad Yardville Memorial Chapel, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville, with the Rev. Jean Pinto officiating. Burial will follow in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown. Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the memorial chapel.
