TRENTON - Thelma B. Scott, 85, of Trenton, departed this life on Sunday, October 27, 2013, at Capital Health Regional Medical Center, Hopewell.
Born and educated in Hamlet, N.C. she moved to Trenton after her marriage to Wade H. Scott Sr. She later graduated from the Mercer County Community College School of Nursing. Thelma was employed by the State of New Jersey as a technician and registered head nurse at The Trenton State Psychiatric Hospital.
She was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star, King David Lodge No.15, and for decades she was a member of the Cadwalader Asbury United Methodist Church family where she sang with Senior Choir.
Predeceased by her husband, Wade H. Scott Sr., her parents, Lemuel and Sarah (Alford) Breeden, her siblings, Lemuel Otis Breeden, Ervin (Doc) Breeden and W. Vivian Adams, Thelma is survived by two sons, Wade Harrison Scott Jr., (now Scott Christian) of Bronx, N.Y. and Everett H. Scott, Manhattan, N.Y.; two daughters, Thelma Annette Scott and Roslynn Alicia Scott, both of Trenton; grandchildren, Kenneth Leonard Jr. (Jerilyn), Rique, Amanda and Rick Ruffin Jr.; great-grandchildren, Nygeria, Kenneth III (Trey), and Lakes Wade Leonard of California, a sister, Mabel Alfreda (Breeden) Williams of Ewing; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 2, at 11 a.m. at Cadwalader Asbury United Methodist Church, 910 Stuyvesant Ave., Trenton. Calling hours will be Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the church. Arrangements are by Campbell Funeral Chapel, Trenton.
