Obituary Condolences

Troy Allen Moran entered into the Kingdom of God on Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, after a lengthy illness at the Community Hospice in Jacksonville, Fla.
He attended the Hun School in Princeton and Ewing High School in Ewing, N.J. He is the son of Barbara Piperata of Ewing, N.J. and the late Sgt. John Moran, Hopewell PD. After graduating from high school Troy enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served aboard the aircraft carrier Midway, CVA 41, Air Wing 2 in Yokosuka, Japan, which was deployed to the Middle East for the Desert Storm War. He was awarded two Bronze Stars, the National Defense Service Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, the Navy "E" Ribbon, and the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon. He was also stationed at U.S. Naval Station, Key West, Fla. He was employed by Lowes of Jacksonville, Fla. He was an avid tennis player and loved ping pong.
Troy is survived by his mother and stepfather, Barbara and Al Piperata; his stepmother, Ann Moran; grandparents, Verle and Leona Boring; aunt and uncle, Judy and Herbert Tiner; cousins, Melisa Lemmons, Bryan Tiner, Evan Tiner, and Ryan Timer in Ingleside, Texas.
Troy also wants to thank his many friends in Jacksonville for their care and friendship helping him prepare for this final journey. Two memorial services were held for him in Jacksonville, Fla. by his many friends and fellow veterans.
Funeral and burial will be private in the veterans section of Princeton Memorial Park, Robbinsville, N.J. There will be no calling hours. Submitted by the M. Wm. Murphy Funeral Home.
