Obituary Condolences

EWING - Troy Erik Perkins, "Perk," 47, of Ewing Township, was called to eternal rest on Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at Capital Health, Hopewell Campus.
Born in Jersey City, Troy was educated in the Willingboro Public School System and was a graduate of the WHS class of 1983. He continued his education at the Burlington County Community College.
He was employed by Interplast and retired from the Department of Corrections, as a lieutenant with Central Reception & Assignment Facility (CRAF). In 2006, Troy became a proud member of the King David Lodge No. 15.
He was predeceased by his parents, Elkhart and Geraldine Perkins, and a sister, Tahoma Barnette. Surviving are his devoted wife of nine years, Evette D. Perkins; his son, Troy Jr.; step-daughter, Candyce (Mike) Allen; step-son, Cahlil Myers; a sister, Elizabeth Osbourne; his father and mother-in-law, Edward and Carolyn Carmichael; a brother-in-law, Donald Barnette Sr.; two nephews, Donald (Imani) Barnette Jr. and David Barnette; two nieces, Courtney and Kayla Osbourne; a sister-in-law, Elyse (Llionel) Henderson; a brotherhood of the Masonic Order, a special "Crew" of friends and a host of family and friends too numerous to list.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Union Baptist Church, 301 Pennington Ave., Trenton. Interment will be in Ewing Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. with Masonic services at 6 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Chapel, 1225 Calhoun St., Trenton, and Tuesday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the church.
