HAMILTON - Wanda M. Kontorowicz Korolenko, 55, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 6, 2013, at Chandler Hall Hospice in Newtown, Pa.
Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong area resident. She was employed by the Hamilton Township Court System. Prior to that, Wanda worked at Yardville National Bank where she started a cancer support group for surviving cancer patients. She left Yardville National Bank for an administrative position with Mayor Bencivengo and worked with the Hamilton Township Economic Development Group. Wanda was a board member and vice president for the Friends of Sayen Gardens.
Wanda loved gardening and cooking and especially loved her family. She will be deeply missed by family and friends.
Daughter of the late Wally Emma Elise Kontorowicz, she is survived by her two children, Laura Ann (Matthew) Weinsieder of Yardley, Pa., and Paul Joseph (Cady) Korolenko of Warminster, Pa.; her father, Edward (Danuta) Kontorowicz of Hamilton; her three brothers, Harry (Cathy) Kontorowicz of Bonney Lake, Wash., Mark Kontorowicz of Hamilton and Michael (Kathy) Kontorowicz of Bordentown; and her two sisters, Sylvia (Robert) Coleman of Washington Crossing, Pa. and Diane (Sandy) Kontorowicz of Ewing; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and -nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 11 at 9:30 a.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ 08690. Interment will follow at Saint Mary Cemetery, Hamilton. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Saul Colonial Home.
