Wayne George Staub

Obituary Condolences

Wayne George Staub, 82, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2013, at home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Norwalk, Ohio, Wayne served in the Army/Air Force for over 22 years before settling in the Trenton area for the last 40 years. Upon his honorable discharge from the military he embarked on a 22 year career with the State of New Jersey, Department of Treasury. While working full time and raising a family he earned a bachelor's degree from Rider University. He was a faithful parishioner of Sacred Heart Church, Trenton. He was a longtime member of the Baron AA, a member of the Soldiers and Sailors Club, a lifetime member of the Sergeants Association, Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was an avid reader, card player and world traveler, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his five grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, Wayne and Edna Staub, his sister, Janet Staub Nelton and brother,
Donald Staub. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 54 years, Carmella Ragazzo Staub; his daughter,
Renee Staub Mraw of Hamilton and her children, Robert and Tracey; his son and daughter-in-law, Wayne M. and Stephanie Staub of Ewing and their children, Wayne D. and Natalie; and his son, Raymond C. Staub, Esq. of Hamilton, his daughter-in-law Carolyn Staub, also of Hamilton, and their daughter Sofia. He is also survived by his brother-in-law and dear friend Raymond Ragazzo and his wife Kathy of Levittown, Pa.; cousin and friend Giacomo Battaglia; and nieces, Sharrie Staub and Stacy Mullery; nephews, Eric Staub, John Ragazzo and Nicholas Ragazzo and many cousins and friends.
The funeral will be held at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday (March 27) from the Gruerio Funeral Home, 311 Chestnut Ave., Trenton. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 343 South Broad St., Trenton. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, 400 Woolsey St., Hamilton. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. at the Gruerio Funeral Home.
