Mary Ann Whartenby LAWRENCEVILLE - Mary Ann Whartenby, 67, of Lawrenceville, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2014 peacefully in her home. Born in Trenton, she was a life-long area resident. She was a senior clerk for the State of New Jersey and an instructional assistant for the Lawrence Township School System. She was a member of St. Mary's of the Assumption Catholic Church in Trenton, a member of the Delaware Valley and Young at Heart Doll Clubs. Daughter of the late Michael E. and Mary Stanik Hatrak; she is survived by her husband, Norman Whartenby II; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Brianna Whartenby of Pennington, Michael and Elizabeth Whartenby of Doylestown, PA; a sister and brother-in-law, Irene A. and Henry Poreda of Henderson, NV; a grandson, Ethan Oliver Whartenby. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday February 4th 10:00 a.m. at St. George RC Church, 1370 River Road, Titusville. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Assumption Cemetery, Hamilton. Friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00-9:30 a.m. at the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, 2560 Pennington Road, Pennington.
