George M. Harvey III BRIGANTINE - George M. Harvey III, 83 of Brigantine, NJ passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 20, 2014. Born in Trenton he was an area resident for many years before moving to Brigantine. George was a graduate of the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce - University of Pennsylvania. He served in the U.S. Army Security Agency as a Military Cryptographer Specialist during the Korean conflict. He was employed by the R.C. Maxwell Outdoor Advertising Company for 36 years. He was a former member of The Trenton Magazine; Greater Trenton Chamber of Commerce, Trenton Exchange Club; Atlantic County Chairman and member of the Board of Trustees of the Southern New Jersey Chapter, Leukemia Society of America; The National Board of Trustees, Leukemia Society of America; Board of Directors, South Jersey Regional Theatre; The Board of Directors, Greater Atlantic City Chamber of Commerce. He was currently a member of Lodge #2428, B.P.O.E., Brigantine, N.J.; Mercer Lodge #50, Free and Accepted Masons, Trenton, N.J. He is the son of the late George M. Harvey, Jr. and Emily (Burk) Harvey; father of the late Richard J. Lettiere, brother of the late William Harvey, and brother-in-law of the late Helen Harvey. He is survived by his wife, Margaret (Schaffener) Harvey; his son, Kenneth Harvey and wife Terri; his daughters Donna Lettiere Gorish of Bordentown and Robin Gura and husband Steve of Brigantine; his daughter-in-law, Kathy Lettiere of Bordentown. He's also survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4pm to 7pm at the Kingston and Kemp Funeral Home, 260 White Horse Ave., Hamilton. Funeral services will be held at 7pm at the funeral home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the , P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
