Emanuel J. Tramontana HAMILTON - Emanuel J. Tramontana, 72, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully at home with dear friends and family by his side on Monday, February 24, 2014 at 12:17 AM. Born in Trenton, Mr. Tramontana was a lifelong area resident. Emanuel "Manny" Tramontana was a Quality Control Engineer for 20 years with the State of New Jersey Department of Transportation. Manny retired from Brick Wall Corporation, in Whiting NJ, as Vice President of Quality Control. He graduated near the top of his class at Trenton Catholic. Manny was an antique car enthusiast, he loved to watch sports especially football, and was very talented in landscape design as a hobby. He loved exotic tropical plants and foliage, so much so he brought the plants into the house for the winter. Manny was a long time member of the Hamilton Elks B.P.O.E. Lodge #2262. Son of the late Joseph and Elsie (Del Marro) Tramontana; he is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Ann (Wood) Tramontana; a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Cathy Tramontana; a daughter and son-in-law, Anna Marie and Joseph Pizza; four grandchildren, Dr. Joseph Pizza and wife Alexandrea of North Carolina, Christopher Pizza and wife Heather, Michael Pizza and wife Jenna, Matthew Pizza and fiance Brittany Ley; six great-grandchildren, Saraphina, Thomas, Aniella, Arrabella, Lucas, and Evangelina; a sister and brother-in-law, Doris and John K. "Jack" Rafferty; a niece, Meghan Rafferty; a nephew, Daniel Rafferty and wife Lauren; two great nephews, Joseph and Francis Rafferty; a close cousin and retired school teacher, Emanuel Tramontana; and many other cousins, dear friends and his beloved dog "Mr. T". "Manny" was a caring husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, great uncle, and had many close and loving friends. Family and friends may call on Sunday, March 2, 2014from 4:00pm to 7:00 p.m. at the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Rd.,Hamilton, NJ 08619. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday March 3, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great Church, 4680 Nottingham Way, Hamilton, NJ. Burial will follow at St Mary's Cemetery on Cedar Lane in Hamilton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fox Chase Cancer Center, 333 Cottman Avenue IA Department Philadelphia, PA 19111 or to Temple University School of Medicine Department of Neurosurgery, 3401 North Broad Street Suite C540 Philadelphia, PA 19140.
