Stanley J. Szeliga Obituary
Stanley J. Szeliga BORDENTOWN Stanley J. Szeliga, 87, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at the Samaritan Hospice in Mt. Holly Township. Born and raised in Trenton, he had resided in the Bordentown area since 1960. He was an Army veteran of WWII and was a retired Service Representative for American Machine and Foundry serving the east coast. Stanley was a member of St. Mary's Church of Bordentown and enjoyed playing the harmonica. He was an outdoor enthusiast and played many sports, which also included hunting and fishing as well as trips to the casinos. Stanley was well loved by his family and will be deeply missed. Husband of 56 years to the late Florence M Szeliga (nee Hutton), he is survived by four sons: Laurence Szeliga and his wife Stephanie of Fresno, OH, Lee Szeliga and his wife Carol of Wichita Falls, TX, Bob Szeliga and his wife Leslie of Thompson Station, TN and Jim Szeliga of Jackson, NJ. His daughter: Jean Williams of Bordentown Township, Eleven grandchildren: Jennifer Andre, Michele Page, Marianne Armstrong, Krista, Michael and Rob Szeliga, Keri Holcombe, Kati McCarthy and Lisa, Kelly and Sara Williams and fourteen great grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am Saturday, March 8 at St. Mary's Church, 45 Crosswicks St, Bordentown. Entombment will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Saturday morning 9:30 to 10:30 am at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St, Bordentown. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Samaritan Healthcare and Hospice, 5 Eves drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
