Robert V. Palmieri TRENTON - Robert V. Palmieri, 74, of Trenton, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at home. Born in Hamilton Township, NJ, he was a life-long Trenton area resident. Mr. Palmieri was the owner/operator of Gabby's Barber Shop, Trenton, which was established as a union Barber Shop by Roberts father Gabriel in 1940. Robert owned/operated Gabby's Barber Shop, from 1965 until his retirement in November of 2013. Robert had a passion for cooking and entertaining for his family, and enjoyed vacationing to the Caribbean Islands and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He was a member of the San Felese Lodge, Trenton. Son of the late Gabriel and Mary Bruno Palmieri; brother of the late Michael Palmieri; uncle of the late Michael Palmieri, Jr; he is survived by his loving wife, Jean Csubak Palmieri; his sons and daughters-in-law, Robert V. and Rosemary Palmieri, Ronald C. and Helen Palmieri, and Rodney G. and Jaimee Palmieri; a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and William Cunningham; two nieces, Michele Szegda and her husband Michael and Donna Serafine; a sister-in-law, Elsie Innocenzi; four grandchildren, Ronald Palmieri and his wife Kirsten, Victor, Gabrielle, and Ryan Palmieri; and many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and many good friends. The Funeral will be held on Friday morning, March 21, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. from the Brenna Funeral Home, 340 Hamilton Avenue, Trenton, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at Devine Mercy Parish/Holy Cross Church, 201 Adeline Street, Trenton, NJ 08611. Calling hours for family and friends will be on Thursday, March 20, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Brenna Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
