Debra A. McCausland Obituary
HAMILTON - Debra A. McCausland, 54, of Hamilton, died Saturday, March 29, 2014, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Trenton, Debbie was a lifelong area resident. She was formerly employed with the Mercer County School of Special Needs and, more recently, with the Hamilton Township Board of Education as an aide in the schools.
Debbie enjoyed bowling, time at the beach, and shooting pool. She was a giving person, always willing to help those in need with her time, talents and support. Above all else, Debbie was devoted to her family. She was a beloved wife and a loving, supportive mother to her four children, and also to many of her children's close friends.
Predeceased by her parents, Jean (Benson) and Sgt. Joseph Mason (Retired, Trenton Police Department); Debbie is survived by her husband, John C. McCausland, Jr.; her four children, Jamie, John III, Abbie and Lindsay McCausland, all of Hamilton; her sister, Gladys (Steve) Schmelz; her brother, Joseph (Celeste) Mason; several aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and many dear friends, including, Ed, Debbie, Lynn and Caren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 3 p.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square. Cremation will be private. Family and friends may gather on Saturday from 1 p.m. until the time of service at the Saul Colonial Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Debbie's memory to (for Cancer Research), 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 and/or Melanoma Research Foundation, 1411 K Street, NW, Suite 800, Washington, DC 20005.
