Jean Clair Russel EWING - Jean Claire Russell, 89, of Ewing, entered into God's care on Friday, April 11, 2014 at the Compassionate Care Unit at St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton with her loving daughter at her side. Born in Ewing, Jean was a lifelong resident. She was a parishioner of Incarnation Church for many years and was a member of the Altar Rosary Society. Daughter of the late William and Florence (Gladden) Minschwaner; beloved wife of the late John W. Russell; mother of the late Patrick Francis Russell who is survived by his wife Donna; sister of the late Kenneth Minschwaner, Betty Coleman, and Jacqueline Bowker; she is survived by her loving daughter, Mary Sudnick and her wonderful boyfriend, Sherwood H. Sheehan, Jr. Also surviving are her brother and sister-in-law Phillip & Gail Minschwaner who especially have shared in long-lasting memories of her quick wit and love of laughter. Her love of family was always foremost in her thoughts. Jacqueline, Gary and Char, Bill and Celeste who were blessed to live nearby were her angels during her times of need. Also loved are her many nieces and nephews who have been honored and inspired by her life. Jean had a passion for the outdoors. She spent time tending to her yard. Friends and neighbors were always offered a smile and a friendly "hello" which could lead to a lengthy conversation. Jean, who was also an adoring wife to her beloved John was also a mom of perfection to both Pat and Mary. She was a devoted woman to Our Lord and Blessed Mother and numerous Saints who have helped her along the way. A special thanks to Sean Leary and everyone associated with the Ewing EMT Unit. Also, a special thanks to the Capital Health Hopewell Facility including all the doctors and staff. Funeral services and burial will be private. A memorial Mass will be announced at a later date.
