Nicholas Tuz Obituary
Nichols Tuz TITUSVILLE - Nicholas Tuz, 81, of Titusville, passed away Monday, April 28, 2014 at Capital Health at Fuld. Born in Shelton, CT, he had lived in the Titusville area for 46 years. He was in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict where he served in the MCB6 SEA BEES. He was a graduate of the University of Connecticut in 1961 where he received a bachelors and masters degree in civil engineering. He was employed by the Federal Highway Administration his entire professional career, retiring after 32 years of service. Nick was past president, secretary and treasurer of the Hopewell Valley Lions Club where he was active at the eyeglass recycling center. He was past president and historian of the Pleasant Valley Vigilant Association which was established in 1872. He was on the Board of Directors of the American Association of Mental Health. He was a player agent for the Hopewell Township Little League Association and team manager. Son of the late Harry and Antonia Wolniak Tuz; he is survived by his wife, Yolanda A. Kochis Tuz; two sons, Matthew J. Tuz of Tampa FL, Theodore A. and his wife Victoria Tuz of Chalfont, PA; a daughter, Anita E. Tuz of Titusville; a sister, Helen Dilley of Southbury, CT; 2 grandchildren, Jeremy Stewart Tuz and Cody Alexander Tuz both of Chalfont, PA. Friends may call Thursday, May 1, 2014from 5-8 p.m. at the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, 2560 Pennington Road, Pennington. Funeral services and burial will private at Harbourton Cemetery.
