George Edward Jones HOPEWELL - George Edward Jones, 85, of Hopewell, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at home. Born in Trenton, he was a life-long area resident. He was a retired carpenter and mason for Hunt and Augustine Construction Company. He attended Princeton High School and served as an engineer with the Marine Corps. second division during the Korean Conflict. George was an avid sportsman enjoying hunting and fishing. Son of the late George and Alice Cuomo Jones; he is survived by his wife, Audrey Jaeckel Jones; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Kurt and Marilyn Jones, Robert and Caroline Jones; a daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Timothy_Ellis_; grandchildren, Denise, Amanda, Jennifer and Robert E. Jones, Jr.; and great-grandchildren, Mason Bliss, Owen Jones, Michael and Emma Smits. Friends may call Monday, May 12, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. with a Marine Corp. flag presentation at 7:30 p.m. at the Cromwell-Immordino Memorial Home, 2560 Pennington Road, Pennington (at the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home).
