David Robert Tilton Obituary
HAMILTON - David Robert Tilton, 52, beloved husband, son, father and brother entered into eternal peace on Sunday, May 11, 2014, at the Hamilton Grove Care Center.
Born on January 16, 1962, in Trenton, Mr. Tilton lived most of his life in Trenton before moving to Hamilton Township. He worked with the Rusling Paving Company of Trenton for a dedicated 34 years. He was a happy, giving, man who enjoyed the simple things in life, especially watching his favorite sports teams as he was a die-hard Washington Redskins football fan and a New York Yankees baseball fan. Dave was one of the hardest workers, no matter what the circumstances. In addition to spending quality time with his family he truly cherished his time with his three faithful companions, Lilo, Lily and Baby. Dave was renowned for his enjoyment of Jolly Rancher Candy.
Dave was predeceased by his brother, Thomas Tilton and sister-in-law, Terri Tilton. He is survived by his wife, Lisa A. Ireland Tilton of Hamilton; three daughters, Karrie Ann Souvanlasy of Trenton, Stacy Tilton-Cox of Trenton and Melissa Tilton of Somerset; his parents, Gilbert J. Sr. and June F. Southard Tilton of Trenton; three stepchildren, Jimmer and wife Shannon Malkin of Hamilton, Jason and wife Carrie Malkin of Hamilton and Jennifer Ireland of Trenton; 13 grandchildren; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Gilbert J. Tilton Jr. and Gary and Kathy Tilton, all of Hamilton; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Sharon Tilton of Bordentown Township, Brenda and John Carrubba of Robbinsville, Renee and Wil Quinones of Hamilton; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A service of remembrance will be held at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, at the Winowicz Funeral Home, corner Adeline and Beatty streets. Interment will be private. Calling hours are from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to all who ministered To Dave during his illness, especially the medical staff of St. Francis Medical Center, staff from Hamilton Grove and the staff of the Compassionate Care Hospice.
