Kent R. Smith Obituary
Kent R. Smith LAWRENCEVILLE - Kent R. Smith, 63, of Lawrenceville, NJ passed away Monday, May 12, 2014 at Capital Health of Hopewell, in Pennington, NJ. Born in Lawrence Township, Kent was a lifelong area resident. He was employed by The College of New Jersey as a mason for the past 15 years. Previously, he ran his own masonry company and worked as executive director of the Neighborhood Housing Services of Trenton. Kent was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 3022, Lawrence. Predeceased by his father, Alfred L. Smith, Kent is survived by his loving mother, Rita (Foy) Smith; his brothers and their wives, Roger and Marie, and Jeffrey and Donna; his niece and nephews Patrick, Haley, Roger, Jr., and Christopher; his great nieces and nephews; his aunts and uncles, Carol and Robert Holmes, June and Russell Smith, Dorothy Goodwin, and June and Bernie Foy; and many cousins. The Smith family sincerely thanks Kent's coworkers and the staff of the College of New Jersey for their generosity, support and acts of kindness. Funeral services will be held on Friday May 16, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. Family and friends may call Friday from 5:00 until the time of service at the Saul Colonial Home. Interment services will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Hamilton, NJ. (We will proceed from the Greenwood Avenue entrance.) In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Smith's memory to the , Memorial Processing Center, P.O. Box 7, East Syracuse, NY 13057or (www.cancer.org)
