Maria Burbela Obituary
Maria Burbela TRENTON - Maria Burbela, 82, died Sunday, June 8, 2014, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton. Born in Lviv, West Ukraine, she has lived in the Trenton/ Hamilton area since immigrating to the United States in 1949 at the age of 16. Mrs. Burbela was a loving wife, mother and grandmother whose life centered around her family. She was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Maria Zajac; sister of the late Joseph, Sophia, Katherine and Helen; and mother in law of the late Renee Burbela. She is survived by her husband John of 62 years; her son Walter Burbela and his fiance Cheryl Ferrando of Hamilton; her daughters and sons in law Sonja and William Hunt of Robbinsville: and Mary and Dean Santos of East Windsor; her grandchildren Gina Rosa, Walter John Burbela, Christopher and Stephen Hunt, Nicole Burbela and Karen and Michael Santos; two great grandchildren Isabella Rosa and Aiden Lobo. She is also survived by her sister Luba Sereduik of Hamilton and many nieces and nephews. Viewing hours will be Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Kutch Funeral Home, 215 Grand Street, Trenton. Requiem Liturgy will be celebrated Thursday 11:00 am at St. Josaphat's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1195 Deutz Ave. Hamilton, NJ. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Cemetery #1, Hamilton. Due to cemetery regulation regarding flowers, memorial contributions are requested in Mrs. Burbela's memory to St. Josaphat's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1195 Deutz Ave., Hamilton, NJ 08611
