Joseph F. Careyote Obituary
MANSFIELD - Joseph F. Careyote, 99, of Mansfield Township, passed away on Sunday at Samaritan Hospice at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mt. Holly.
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident, moving to Mansfield 10 years ago. He retired after 38 years of service as a supervisor for American Biltrite. Joseph enjoyed cooking, gardening, and loved to dance. He was an avid fan of big bands, and the Phillies. In his younger years he excelled in sports, bowling and baseball were among his favorites.
Husband of the late Irene Teringer Careyote, grandfather of the late Kevin Krause, he is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Martin Careyote of Hamilton, Nicholas and Lisa Careyote of Mansfield Township, one daughter, Irene Krause of Mansfield Township, four grandchildren, Raymond Krause, Joseph Krause and his wife June, Nicholas Careyote II and his wife Shannon, and Matthew Careyote, seven great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at 8:30 a.m. from the Buklad Memorial Home, 2141 S. Broad St., Hamilton, with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Angels Church. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery Mausoleum in Hamilton. Relatives and friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, at the memorial home.
