Angelo Francis Pagano Obituary
HOPEWELL - Angelo Francis Pagano, age 87, died at home on July 23, 2014.
Mr. Pagano was predeceased by his beloved wife, Johanna "Joanie" Pagano and his son-in-law Richard Armstrong. He is survived by his four children and their spouses: MaryElizabeth Pagano, Patricia Armstrong, Al and Barbara Pagano and Vito and Kathleen Pagano. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren: Angelo Pagano, John Pagano, Gina Pagano, Matthew Pagano, Kyle Pagano, Keri Armstrong (Scott Clark), Richard Armstrong II (Angel) and Melanie Armstrong Theis (Robert).
Angelo grew up in Brooklyn, N.Y., the only son of Alfonso and Mary Colantuno Pagano. He had seven loving sisters: Elizabeth (Jerome Donella), Angelina (James Bruno), Rita (John Gorezney), Florence (Joseph Iurato), Delores (Salvatore Scuilla), Helen (George Chiarini) and Virginia Avino. He also has numerous nieces and nephews.
After serving with the U.S. Army in Italy during World War II, Angelo worked alongside his father in the family plumbing business until 1967, when he moved to Hopewell and opened the Hopewell Village Market on Broad Street. Angelo retired in 1999.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 2, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Cromwell-Immordino Memorial Home 2560 Pennington Road, Pennington, NJ 08534. (Located at Wilson-Apple Funeral Home).
